A Rare Opportunity…

It’s not often that I have bridal shoots AFTER the wedding… which means that it’s not often that I get to share a bridal shoot so quickly! Half the time, I forget them altogether by the time their weddings pass. But yesterday I was able to shoot Jenna (who was married last September). She’s amazingly beautiful and so very, very sweet. Did I mention she was also extremely photogenic? Seriously, a photographer’s dream subject! Of course, she had to compete with Mabry’s cowgirl antics… but I think we can safely put them in two different categories. :D

This town ain’t big enough for the both of us…

Mabry was invited to a cowgirl birthday party this week. And now she’s hooked on the quick draw and boots. It’s hysterical. So today, when she had to stay home from KLASS because of being sick, I told her that she could go on my “Princess” shoot (bridal)… and if she were good, I’d take some cowgirl shots of her when we weren’t working with the bride. And she was all over it. So when Jenna was heading back to get in the car, Mabry stepped up to the plate…

Alright, Sparky… here’s the deal…

Thank you Jenna (and Mom!) for being so fun with Mabry today! She loved it!

Have you noticed that it’s winter???

My poor brides… they’ll suffer through just about anything in order to get their pictures made. Today I had a shivering little thing out in the cold. She was a total trooper… and you’d never know from the images that she was shaking like a leaf the whole time! Anthony may go down as the quietest groom I’ve ever had… but something tells me he may have had plenty to say when they got in the car and drove a way! We had him laying on the ground, jumping off of ledges and *gasp* KISSING KRISTEN! But don’t worry… she’s the one he’s engaged to. :D

In the name of love…

The poor thing was sick… so very sick… and yet he stuck with it so that his bride, Brandi could FINALLY get her engagement shoot checked off the to-do- list! It seemed that everything was against us… this was the THIRD session scheduled, but rain and snow had prevented the other two from coming to fruition. However, not even a stomach bug was going to keep them from showing up this time! Hats off to a groom who can suck it up for his bride… can I get an amen? :D

Backlogged

I’m so horrible at keeping up with this blog. I see you nodding your heads in agreement… I feel your scorn. But this week I’m going to make up for lost time! I’m going to be a posting fool, I tell you! Let’s start with an engagement shoot that gave me a fun toy to play with… a MOTORCYCLE!!!

This couple was so great… and even though they’re more on the shy side of things, the camera could really feel their love for each other. And Elizabeth? She’s got the serious look DOWN. I mean… seriously. I’m so looking forward to their Benson wedding!

The Many Faces of Colour Academy

We hosted my cousins’ band this week (they performed in Goldsboro)… and while they were in town, we had a fun little in-studio shoot with them! They’re all such fun and we really love it when they come through Eastern North Carolina on their tours. The lead singer (short blond hair) and the drummer (dark hair, burgundy t-shirt) are my 1st cousins and I’m so very proud of them!
