This couple started out down the aisle together 20 something years ago as flower girl and ring bearer… how awesome of a story is it that they ended up married to each other??? It was a privilege to shoot their special day. I considered it a special honor because it was my second wedding for that family… the bride’s brother was a 2006 groom of mine! We’re actually eating out with he and his lovely wife tomorrow night. See, you can’t get rid of me once I’ve been hired.

The day started out bright and sunny… not a dark cloud in the sky…

And ended dramatically with rain… all so I could take this cool shot, I’m SURE…

My GOODNESS y’all are chatty! I’ve only had the “contact” form in place on the new website for about a week now, and already I’ve gotten tons of little messages letting me know how much you love the site and the work that’s on it. Talk about an ego boost! I love it!! So feel free to send me notes as often as you’re inspired!

Today is Caroline Hill’s wedding… we’re so excited to be a part of their day! We’ve done the bridal luncheon and the rehearsal dinner, so we’re keyed in to who the close family and friends are… good thing, cause with 700 invitations sent out, it could be difficult to locate people if you don’t know who they are! I’ve got a friend on the “inside” who’s volunteered to be my eyes. She’ll let me know who’s who when my mind can’t figure it out.

Of course, Sunday we have Lauren Grantham’s wedding. Yes… THIS Sunday. Are we insane to tackle two in a row? Well, if we are, then we’re DOUBLE crazy because we’re doing it again NEXT weekend, too! We just can’t say no to all the great brides that come through our doors. So it’s really THEIR fault… yes? STOP BEING SO GREAT!

Send out prayers for energy and creativity to be in full force for the rest of May… we’ll need it!!

When I contracted with Susi for our oil commissions, I knew I wanted to do a studio portrait… and even though I love all of my beautiful clients, it had to be my own kids who got THIS honor. Today, Susi sent me the completed file… I’ll get it ordered soon, but I had to debut it here!

It took one of my clients (Hi, Aubrey!) to let me know my new site was up and running! I had completed editing it and sent in the request to have them replace my old one… but it was never there when I checked on it. And now? It is!! I still have a few things left to do (namely, complete the blog page edits… dysfunction much?). But for the most part, it’s all just lovely. *sigh*
