The Final Countdown

Ahh… ten hours until we leave out for our whirlwind weekend of wedding travel. First we head down to Topsail for an ocean side ceremony with Chris and Krystal (see images from their engagement shoot in an earlier entry below!). This is a super fun couple and we just can’t WAIT to see what their version of a wedding day looks like!

As soon as Mr. and Mrs. Spontaneous are through with us, we take off for Richmond… yes, the one in Virgina. Take note that Topsail is almost at the South Carolina border and Richmond… isn’t. But we’re up for the challenge! It’ll be okay because Andrea’s wedding doesn’t beckon us from the bed until later in the day. We’ll probably get more sleep than we’re accustomed to!

We already had a fun day at the beach with this couple (as pictured underneath this paragraph). They’re so super cool and hip… a couple that ooooozes style. So I know that their wedding will be gorgeous… especially with the reception in the historic Jefferson Hotel. Can’t wait!

Wish us luck and safe travel!!

Frazier Engagement Shoot

Every so often you get a couple that just… gets it. They’re not models, they’re not aspiring actors… they just have a knack for letting the world see how in love they are. Jennifer and Jamie are one of those couples. It’s gonna make their wedding day just that much more enjoyable for us. :)

Every wedding photographer in the world was booked for last Saturday (7-7-7). But none of them had as amazing of a couple as I did! I knew that the day was going to be special when the mother of the bride asked if she and her daughter could pray for me. I had been sick the week before and was still a little weak, but once they spoke their sweet words over me, nothing could stand in my way. I just love them to death. Eventually, I’ll have the images from their big day up for you to see, but until then, here’s my favorite shot from her bridal shoot.

Big things are brewing!

About the only thing that ISN’T happening over here is blogging. Sorry that I’m not more addicted to keeping things going over here. Hopefully, as things start to settle down, I’ll remember to update! But for right now, we’re all abuzz with excitement because today we signed a lease on a new studio location! Beginning in September, you’ll be visiting us on the other end of Queen Street at what’s known as “The Silver Dome Building”. Perry Management is totally renovating the 1st floor to provide us with a modern, full-service studio space that three times the size of the one we currently use. And we couldn’t be happier! Stay tuned for pictures of the progress! We have all of you to thank for the direction that our business is taking. We hope you’re as thrilled as we are! :)

A couple of weekends ago was the wonderful wedding of Erin and Steve. We’re not through with their edits, of course, but I had to take the time to say how great it was to spend their day with them. Erin is the daughter of a dear, dear friend of ours and it was especially nice to watch her watch her only child begin the next part of her life.

Erin’s bridal shoot was a month ago or so, but we weren’t able to share anything with you until her big day had passed. Here’s one of my favorite captures from my afternoon with her:
